A couple days ago I spent ten minutes in snail-like traffic near my home. I had attempted a new route but found myself getting agitated with the congestion. I even honked at an indecisive driver!
Later on as I drove down Mountain View Corridor (a very peaceful hilly drive) I noticed a change within me. I was calm and serene.
I had changed as a result of my environment.
It's easier to be calm or happy or nice when the environment is right.
Money fights tend to disappear when mutually-agreed upon budgets are made and kept.
Arguments tend to vanish when couples get proper sleep and choose to discuss "majors" at a time when both individuals are well-fed and happy.
Children act better when reading a good book instead of amassing points on a video game.
The good news is we (quite often) get to pick our environment. Our surroundings are a large part what we choose.
And we ALWAYS choose our attitude.
Consider your environment before making changes.
Change your environment, change your life.
