I was talking to one of my wise brothers-in-law a few days ago.
He explained a pretty cool concept to me. We often think that there's only one way to get through life, our way. We know the perfect job, the only perfect spouse or the perfect house.
Everything is gonna work out the way that we planned.
Eventually though, if we allow it, life shows us that there's a better way. The better way is choosing wisely and then making our choice work. It's a plan that evolves as we commit to a way.
We notice many suitable jobs, houses or potential spouses but we need to pick one and make it work. Not the perfect choice but one choice that we make terrific.
Several people have asked me lately if they have found the one, right spouse.
A better question is, "how can I make this marriage thrive?"
We're not looking for a perfect situation before acting.
Rather we choose and then make our choice shine.
