Last week my nine-year-old son, Hyrum, stunned me by asking to interview me.
He chose to question me about my duties, health and relationships. He asked questions like, "How are you treating mom? Do you think of her or your work more often? Do you work out too much?
Hyrum got this interview idea from me. For the last two years I've interviewed each of our four children once a month.
I ascertain how they're doing on their mental, physical, Spiritual and social preparations.
The children take stock of where they need to improve and what they're doing well. It's a great tool for accountability and responsibility.
Hyrum's questions warmed my soul and spurred me to greater desires to be good.
