Earlier today I reviewed my credit union statement. It took just a minute before I discovered an error.
We were charged $199 for an NBA League Pass (a subscription to watch most NBA games on any device) without our permission.
Turner Sports, who sells the League Pass, had slipped in an auto-renewal feature last year when my wife bought me a discounted League Pass.
Sneaky snakes!
After discovering the deceptive charge, I huddled with my wife to determine the best course to get a refund.
Tomorrow we'll get a refund and then we might buy the pass in a couple months when it is discounted.
Lessons? Read the fine print, review statements, don't tolerate budget-busters.
