Last week Melissa and I began training for a Triathlon.
Melissa has competed in multiple Triathlons and once hired a personal trainer to help her swim better.
I haven't competed in any Triathlons and have never had a formal trainer.
We began our training with swimming. Her pace seemed slow. Whereas I began my six laps with a burst of power. Then I tired and had to rest multiple times.
When we finished she seemed relaxed as I gasped for air.
I felt like the hare getting beat by the tortoise.
So I was reminded: paced progress is better than sporadic spurts.
[For finances paced progress is called modest expenditures, living within means, and paying as you go]
