Focus on the endgame

Some Chess players choose to focus on the middle game and others focus on the endgame.

For families and finances the endgame is the most important. Direction is more important that current or past location, the midgame.

Moving toward the endgame means setting goals and creating plans so the future surpasses the past.

Josh Waitzkin, the inspiration for Searching For Bobby Fischer said his strength was an intense focus on the endgame.

Many people are currently in a financial abyss or had a childhood with poor money models.

Focusing on the endgame allows past problems to be a catalyst/impetus/stimulus instead of a hedge.
