Perseverance is very desirable in many situations: learning, family solidarity, personal exercise regimens, and in religious devotions among other things.
Often, though, we benefit from giving up.
The list of things to give up is personal.
Worry, anger, blame, irresponsibility, whining, and bullying might be some goods things to give up.
Give up the destructive behaviors.
Persevere with relationships. Persevere with life-long, in depth learning. Persevere with health regimens.
