A Shell game is always a losing cause no matter how good it appears. Any choice is wrong and every person is a shill or confidence man.
Common anti-frugal shell games look like this:
The time is right. Check
Your motives are noble. Check
The thing you want to do/buy/pay-off is wrong.
If the thing you want to do is wrong then nothing else matters.
Find out what debt to pay off/investment to make/dream to achieve/business to start and then work on the timing and motives.
Put the first thing first: what is the right thing to do? Timing and motives are ancillary to doing the right thing, not primary. It's all a shell game when we place motives and timing ahead of doing the right thing.
