There is nothing better than investing in people. We can use our money, time and even our abilities to make a loved one smile.
Parents, spouses, children, siblings, neighbors and so many others are the very ones who can make us happy or bring us down. Ironically the more we invest in others the less we seem to need.
Thrift and hard work are serendipitous activities of investing in relationships. Other non-monetary serendipitous qualities are happiness, confidence, and hope in the future.
When you know you can make a loved one smile by blessing them with your money or time, you start to spend less on self and work intensely to help them.
For instance do you spend $50 on golf, a basketball game, unnecessary shopping, a manicure for yourself? Or do you take your children to Chuck-E-Cheese's or take mom and dad out for dinner?
You plan their happiness through thoughtful purchases and increase your work output to bless their lives.
One day a good friend shared two books and a You Tube clip that made me rethink every relationship in my life. I have read the books over and over again and watched the clip frequently to remind me to invest in other people's happiness.

What is that?
Investing in people helps us to be content as we simplify our needs
and seek to bless others by fulfilling their needs and wants.
As a bonus don't forget to listen to this relationship classic.
