Patience is rarely extolled in our action-infatuated society. But it should be.
Patience is thought focused not merely action focused. And, interestingly, our actions spring from our thoughts.
Patience "is an ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay.... Or a quiet, steady perseverance; even-tempered care; diligence."
Patience augments proper money management and it is one of the least used and most feared words in the English language.
Real wealth accumulation takes patience. It takes patience to pursue dreams. Not giving into impulse and buying things now and going into debt. It demands real patience to choose to continually save and pay off debt. It takes patience to allow our financial dreams to percolate instead of financing them.
The opposite of patience is irritability or impatience. Impatience causes us to be mad or irritable.
A sports announcer once said "when you are mad you play bad."
Because of impatience, too many people are scammed
by 8% a month ROI now or Rent-to-Own at 30% month .
They don't want to put in the work, they don't want to wait, they want it all now.
