New opportunities, friends, jobs and relationships are exhilarating. Newness is fun, but quite often pedestrian staying power is needed to create momentum.
It's easy to become so enamored with new whims, that we forget we were building momentum and growth in former areas.
Jumping to a new lilly pad (job, spouse, house, etc) without preparing the new lilly pad is risky. Is the new job/house/spouse really better?
The longer we work at a goal the better we get. How do you pay off a home? Stay in the same home. How do you have a happy marriage? Stay married. How do you pay off a car? Stay with the same car for several years. How do you finish college? Study each day and don't quit. How do you pay off a debt? Stay with it.
Great people find power in staying with dreams, not chasing new whims.
