Discerning when to apply knowledge is the beginning of wisdom. Discerning, though, is not the same as doing/application/execution.
Execution is the very crux of wisdom: execution is applying knowledge at the right time.
When timing, application and knowledge coalesce the results are breathtaking.
Since 1990 the NBA has had over 1,000 players who know basketball very well. But only a few have had a knack for applying their individual talent's to hit a game-winning shots. Game wining shots involve more than knowledge of the game. Close out shots involve execution of knowledge combined with proper timing. Those who have been able to execute at the right time have been labeled closers (think Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Robert Horry, Derek Fisher, Dwayne Wade, Derek Rose, Paul Pierce, Manu Ginobili, Dirk Nowitzki, Larry Bird, and Magic Johnson) .These players have a proven knack for doing what they should when they should.
Is there something you know, but don't do?
A monthly financial plan? A liability that should be sold?
Make sure you learn what you should and then apply what you know
at the right time. When knowledge, timing and doing come together, great things happen.
