Symphonic Homework involves marrying multiple perspectives
with patience.
For instance when my wife and I shopped for a new dentist
we could have looked for the nearest dentist, obtained the needed
services, and paid whatever he charged.
But we chose the Symphonic Homework approach.
We talked with many people over a few weeks who recommended
good dentists.
Next we called five or so dentists and compared quality and price.
We counseled and synthesized our findings as a team. Net result?
We found a dentist who is highly competent and affordable.
The opposite of Symphonic Homework is Solo Impulse.
Solo Impulse is evident when money decisions are made
independently and with haste.
Poor decisions are casued by a lack of interdependence combined
with impulse.
You will obtain a satisfactory purchase when you interdependently
scout your purchases and patiently analyze your findings.
