A surefire way to supercharge contentment is to remember the succinct axiom "Bloom where you're planted." And, paradoxically, financial success drastically rises when we are content (but not complacent). Content people work hard to improve their circumstances whereas complacent people slack off, feeling resigned to their circumstances.
The past tense use of plant reminds us that we can't change the past, but we
can choose to bloom. Bloom is similar to flower, grow, bud, thrive, abound, or flourish.
Choosing to bloom is a gift to those who have sought to plant you in good situations throughout your life.
